Apple Fritter Bread

I made that Apple Fritter Bread that was floating around all our Facebook pages lately. Let me just say it was delicious and SO easy to make. Thought I would add it here in case you missed it on your Facebook. This is a must make for the Fall season.

INGREDIENTS

1/3 Cup of Brown Sugar

2 Tsp of Ground Cinnamon, divided

2 Apples, peeled and chopped

1 Stick of Butter

2/3 Cup of Suagr

2 Eggs

1 1/2 Tsp of Vanilla Extract

1 1/2 Cups of Flour

1/2 Cup of Milk

DIRECTIONS

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius). Spray a 9-inch-by-5-inch loaf pan with pan spray. Set aside.
  2. In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar with 1 teaspoon of the cinnamon.
  3.  In another bowl, combine the diced apples with the remaining 1 teaspoon of cinnamon and stir to mix. Set aside.
  4. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and the granulated sugar. Beat the eggs in one at a time until completely mixed. Add the vanilla extract and mix.
  5. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour and baking soda.
  6. Add the ½ cup of milk and mix until smooth.
  7. Add the flour and baking soda mix to the butter mixture, and stir until well-blended.
  8. Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Layer half of the apple mixture on top of the batter, followed by half of the brown sugar mixture. Gently press the apples into the batter.
  9. Add the remaining batter to the pan, followed by the remaining apples and brown sugar mixture. Lightly press the apples into the batter and swirl the brown sugar between the apple chunks and into the batter.
  10. Bake for 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Allow to cool for 15 minutes on a wire rack before removing from the pan.

Momma’s Hashbrown Casserole

There is just something about those recipes that your momma makes. You know you have your favorites she makes for you. Well I am about to share with you one of my faves my momma makes for me. This is her delish Hashbrown Casserole. It is so ooy and gooey and cheesy and did I mention delicious?

INGREDIENTS

1 Bag of Frozen Hashbowns

2 Cans of Cream of Mushroom Soup

¾ Cup of Butter

8oz of Sour Cream

8oz of Shredded Cheese

Salt, Pepper, + Garlic Powder

Frosted Flakes Cereal (topping)

DIRECTIONS

Mix butter, soup, sour cream, cheese, and seasonings together. Add the hashbrowns to a 9×13 baking dish. Pour the mixture on top of the hashbrowns. Bake at 350° Fahrenheit for an hour and fifteen minutes. Top with frosted flakes.
