4 Dresses for the Summer

I know people either LOVE or HATE dresses, but I’m totally someone who loves them. They are easy to throw on during hot summer days. Dresses are lightweight and keep me cool. And maybe my favorite thing about a dress is I don’t have to plan an outfit. I just have to slip on the dress.

Off the shoulder- This style is all the freakin RAGE, and I do not see it going away anytime soon. I mean why would it, its adorable. I like this because it’s a hint of sexy with the shoulders out, but you are fully covered in other areas.

Fitted- A good fitted dress always helps show your figure! I don’t think it has to be skin tight to achieve this look. This is a classic style that you can wear to any occasion.

Swing- This is my go to style for sure. They came in so many fabrics and they are loose fitting. These are perfect for those days we wake up feeling bloated. Throw this on and you instantly feel cute! PROMISE

Full length – This style is a new one for me this year. I was never very crazy about it. I thought it made me look old and frumpy. But I guess I wasn’t trying on the right ones or something changed this summer. lm totally loving this style. It’s so chic. I loved pairing mine with a thick heeled sandal.

I know dresses are not for everyone, but I challenge you to find at least one you love and feel comfortable in this summer. I can’t say enough how much I love the the easiness of throwing on a dress!

Let me know what dresses you are loving this summer!

My Favorite Spring Outfit

Spring, Spring, SPRING!!

It is finally here. I don’t know about you, but I was soooo over winter. It gets me so down, and when the weather starts warming up and that sun shines my mood shifts. Not to mention it means my birthday is HERE!

So a new season calls for new clothes. I hate wearing jeans…. I know weird! But there is just something about them that I don’t love like the rest of the population. So that means I usually go for dresses.

I FOUND THE CUTEST DRESS and it didn’t even break the bank!!!

So with out further ado….

So this dress I found in early March at Target, and for some reason I didn’t get it then. After contemplating for a few weeks I finally took the plunge and bought it. I couldn’t be more happy that I did. It is perfect for spring. It is off the shoulder and denim. Both these will be huge for Spring 2017 fashion.

Then the hunt began for the perfect shoes. I knew I wanted a tan wedge, and believe or not Target again came through and had the perfect shoes to match. The wedges will look so good with so many of my other spring outfits.

But this dress and wedges are PERFECT for spring. And GUESS WHAT?! They whole outfit is under $75!

My Beach Trip: Packing List

image1

Loves you heard right, I am headed to a delicious and much needed beach vcay! Packing is seriously one of my favorite things. Yes, I know I’m a weirdo! It’s a running joke how early I begin to pack and then I’ll unpack and repack. I like to blame it on my OCD, but between just you and me I think it is just how bloody excited I am to go on vacation. So without further  ado here is my packing list for my beach vacation!

Swimsuit  X1

So we are going to the beach, which means I need a suit.  I only have one swimsuit because I am SO picky! But I love the way it fits so of course that was the first thing I packed.

Cover Ups X2

I only have one suit, so that means I have to style them differently, so day to day I can have a different look. I am only going for four days this time so I opted for only bringing two cover ups. One is a cotton lightweight dress and the other is a kimono. So basically I broke it down into one casual and one dressy option.

Rompers X5

I am completely OBSESSED with rompers. They can be casual or dressy, but look so effortlessly cute. I like packing these for my dinner outfits, but also for packing light. Rompers are a must when traveling to a warm climate!!

Shorts X4

Most days I am in my suit, but just in case I like to have daytime options. I have been stuck in this winter climate, so it’s time to dust off my favorite shorts and get them packed. I may have packed to many, but I just couldn’t decide which ones.

Shirts  X4

I started with my shorts and then I packed some casual shirts to go along. Let’s see how many of these I actually wear!

Shoes X4

Shoes always take up the most room in your suitcase. I always try to pack light on these, which is not an easy task because I LOVE my shoes. This time I went with a cheap black flop that I can wear to the beach. Then also  a pair of Birks to wear out at night. I wanted to only pack those two, but something was screaming at me to take my favorite pair of leopard wedges because I love them with my black rompers. Then I’ll have a fourth option which when be my tennis shoes I fly in and take to workout with.

Essentials

This is everything else we must pack to keep us together. Here I have beauty  products, undergarments, jewelry, sunglasses, sunscreen, beach towel, clutch, charging cords, and lets not for get about out PJ’s!

2. Old Navy Essential Fitted Layering Tank– These tanks I wear under everything. They are smoothing and make all my shirts lay nicer. I like that they come in multiple colors, so I can find one that matches with any outfit.

3. Flannels– Any and all. You can’t go wrong with a flannel. Granted in the summer they are usually tied around my waist. Though in the fall they come in handy quite often in the fluctuating temperatures. Not mention how cute they are!

Last Minute Halloween Costumes

Whenever it comes to Halloween I always get stressed out coming up with a costume. I don’t want to spend a lot of money, and would rather already have most of the stuff. Here are my favorite quick and easy costumes for Halloween.

Cat– This is always my go to because it is so easy. You just need to buy some cat ears. Many times they are at the Dollar Store, but also they are at Walmart and Target. Then if you don’t have any black eyeliner just grab a cheap one. Once you have the ears and eyeliner you are good to go. You can style your hair and makeup however you want. Add the ears to your head. Use the cheap eyeliner to draw on a nose and whiskers. Then put all all black clothes and you are a cat.

Rosie the Riveter– I also really like this one.  You need a pair of jeans, a denim button up, and a red bandana. For this you want your hair up and basic makeup. Once your hair is up, add the bandana and put on the jeans and denim shirt and you are good to go.

Where’s Waldo?- This is so cute. I’ve never done this one, but may have to try it. You will need a red beanie, a red and white stripped shirt, and jeans. You could also add glasses if you would like.
